School Council
Parental involvement is valued at St Mary's Yoogali. Supporting the leadership of the school by being part of the School Council is one of the ways parents can become more involved in our school community.
The primary purpose of the School Council is to support the mission of the school.
The structure and function of the Council follows Diocesan School Council Constitution guidelines. The School Council meets at least twice a term. Members are elected to the Council with each appointment being for a minimum term of 2 years. Following the call for nominations, office bearers are elected at the Annual General Meeting held in term four each year. Members of the Council are invited to nominate for portfolios which match their special interests and skills. Since 2007, the St Mary’s Parents and Friends association has amalgamated with the St Mary’s School Council.
