Assessment & Reporting
· The fundamental purpose of assessment is to improve learning for all students.
· Our teaching staff create assessment tasks which provide opportunities for every student to demonstrate what they know, understand and can do.
· Assessment takes place in a variety of ways from paper and pencil tests to digital presentations.
· Assessment provides evidence that accurately reflects a student's knowledge, skills and understandings.
· Assessment provides evidence to guide the next steps in teaching and learning.
· Assessment provides information which is shared with each child’s parents or guardians through formal and informal reporting.
· Progress Reports for each child are emailed home twice per year, towards the end of terms two and four.
· There is time set aside immediately following the Mid-Year Report for parents to discuss their child/ren’s progress.
· Parents are welcome to make an appointment at any time to meet with their child’s teacher to discuss their child's progress.
